Chapter 1000's own Henny Youngman, none other than Norm Howell, the man who told us why we need complex systems in our homebuilts (http://www.eaa1000.av.org/ppolice/qquotes.htm), has done it again. Recently Norm found himself in a white heavily loaded F-16 in the pattern at Edwards with an SR71 Blackbird in front of him and another behind him. Sensing an opportunity for comedy, upon landing, Norm advised the tower:
"Eddy Tower, the cream in this Oreo cookie is going to roll out to the end."
After about 15 seconds of absolute silence on the tower frequency, the next transmission heard was from the pilot of the second SR-71, who was obviously still trying to stop laughing!
